One Of The Top Headphones For Mix Engineers

The Sennheiser HD 600 headphones are one of the more popular headphones out there for Mix Engineers. The advanced diaphram is designed to eliminate standing waves, they have a frequency response of 16-30,000Hz (-3db) with an impedance of 300 ohms. I like the 10 foot detachable cable as well. Sennheiser does offer an upgraded cable option which I am considering because at times the cable needs to be tightly inserted back into the headphone. This is the only knock and it is a slight one that I have on the HD 600 model. It is lightweight and has an open back metal mesh covered ear cups that are extremly comfortable. I have used them for around a year now and must say the acuracy and comfort is amazing. They are a bit pricy around $350.00 USD street price. But for the money I have found nothing that comes close. I like to mix with these as a second reference source to my Dynaudio and Focal studio monitors. We use them everyday in our mixing process.
